Prof Mignon van Vreden attended the 9th Biennial Postgraduate Supervision Conference during the last week of March in Stellenbosch which focused on the interaction and relations between the different stakeholders as they generate knowledge together. On this theme, she delivered a paper tiled “Exploring how supervisors experience the co-creation of research outputs through relational pedagogy in postgraduate music education”.
The conference provided her with revitalising ideas and inspiring insights on fostering a supervisory approach that not only upholds research rigor but also prioritises empathy, compassion, and holistic support for postgraduate students, ensuring their academic and personal growth.
