The research director’s report on MASARA’s research output for 2024 shows consistent contributions from almost all of the entity’s participants. MASARA’s total research output units for last year are 38.046.
Although this is not our highest number in the entity’s history, every output is highly valued, and these numbers tend to fluctuate as projects are finished and new ones are initiated. Also, we have a better spread of outputs among more staff members as new researchers start to publish.
~ Prof Chris van Rhyn, Research Director: MASARA
The Rev Prof June Boyce-Tillman, an extraordinary professor in MASARA, produced the most accredited outputs for the entity during 2024. Prof Liesl van der Merwe was the most productive among permanent staff members, with Dr Jaco Meyer closely behind her. Prof van der Merwe also produced the most outputs from postgraduate studies, with Prof van Rhyn in second place.
During the previous year, Trio Joie de Vivre‘s creative output was also accredited.
Special mention have to be made of Mr André Oosthuizen and Ms Rineke Viljoen who published their first accredited articles last year.

Great one
