More local compositions will be performed during the South African Music Concert on Tuesday 2 August, sponsored by the SAMRO Foundation.

A local medical doctor (and baritone), Dolf Mathee, will present a love-themed vocal recital on Tuesday 16 August with his own wife, Jana Mathee, as accompanist.

Potch-Trio-900x600The three gentlemen of the Potch Trio will perform fascinating works from all over during the annual Dean’s Concert on Tuesday 23 August.

Big-Band-900x600The School of Music’s wind ensemble and big band have a joint concert on Tuesday 6 September featuring the well-known trumpeter, Marcus Wyatt, as special guest artist.

Figaro-900x900In collaboration with PUK Arts and Umculo, a concert version of Mozart’s popular comic opera, The Marriage of Figaro, will be presented on Sunday 11 September at 15:30.

The second ensemble concert of the year, on Tuesday 20 September, will feature the Brass Boys and brass quintet, as well as the string ensemble and cello ensemble.

The top performance students at the School of Music will perform at the annual Bursary Winners’ Concert on Tuesday 18 October where bursaries of thousands of Rands will be awarded.

All concerts take place at 19:30 in the Conservatory Hall, unless indicated otherwise.
