The final year BMus students in Music Education at the NWU School of Music have to present a cabaret each year as part of the requirements for their major subject.

This year’s cabaret, The Conserve Cabaret, depicts through acting and music the life and times of a typical music student in a truly French cabaret style. The production consists of new, original cabaret songs as well as arrangements of popular favourites, accompanied by trumpet, trombone, guitar, piano and drums.

The show on Tuesday 5 May 2015 in the Conservatory Hall will start at 19:30. Short preview videos for the show can be viewed at the NWU School of Music YouTube channel.

Tickets at only R20 for adults and R10 for students/learners are available at the Conservatory in Thabo Mbeki Drive (tel. 018-299-1692), or 30 minutes before the concert at the box office.
