The final concert at the Conservatory for this year will be presented on Sunday 17 November 2013 at 15:30 in the afternoon. Local soprano, Antoinette Olivier, will be joined by her colleague, Tinus Botha, on piano for a varied programme of opera arias, art songs and works for solo piano.

The arias are from operas by Wagner and Dvorak, while the songs will be presented in four different languages: German (Schumann and Richard Strauss), English (Charles and Quilter), Russian (Rachmaninov), and Afrikaans (S. le Roux Marais). The solo piano works are mainly by Schumann and Liszt, but there will also be a nocturne by Alexander Scriabin written for the left hand only!

5. English songs: Charles — When I have sung my songs & Quilter — Love’s Philosophy
6. Piano: Scriabin — Nocturne for the left hand, Op. 9 No. 2
7. Afrikaans songs: S. le Roux Marais — Salut d’amor / Geboorte van die lente / Rooidag
8. Piano: Schumann — Aufschwung (from Fantasiestücke, Op. 12)
9. Aria: Dvorak — Mesicku na nebi hlubokem (from Rusalka)
10. Piano: Schumann-Liszt — Widmung
11. Russian songs: Rachmaninov — A Dream / Spring Waters
