Prof Piet Koornhof (violin) and Ms Jana Mathee (piano) have successfully completed a concert tour in the Eastern and Southern Cape from 12–15 April. They performed a duo-recital programme, titled Fantasia, with works by living Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, French composer Maurice Ravel, Polish composer Miłosz Magin, Austrian composer Robert Fuchs, and Georgian composer Giya Kancheli.

The duo performed at Nelson Mandela University in Gqeberha, followed by concerts for the Knysna Music Society, the Mossel Bay Arts Society, and the George Music Society. The programme and the performances were well received, resulting in invitations to return next year.
