Since travelling takes a lot of time, and airports and train stations never have practice rooms, Prof Piet has had to rehearse his repertoire in some very interesting places.

Violinist Piet Koornhof, known for championing neglected chamber music and for imaginative concert programming, will soon be presenting an unusual programme of mostly Baltic music for violin and piano, and for solo piano, together with illustrious American pianist, Thomas Hecht. They will perform this programme on 7 May in Bloemfontein, and also on Tuesday 12 May 2015 at 19:30 in the Conservatory Hall, Potchefstroom. Baltic composers Arvo Pärt, Peteris Vasks.
Ms Carli d’Alebout, first year BMus student in violin, is leaving for Norway next week to continue her music studies at the Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo.
