Jetty de Vries (organ) and Human Coetzee (cello) will present a concert on Tuesday 26 July 2016 at 19:30 in the Dutch Reformed Church Miederpark, Aarbei Avenue with co-musicians Piet Koornhof (violin) and the soprano Marguerite van Wyk.
A number of singers who studied at the NWU School of Music have made successful performing careers overseas, mainly in Europe. Jacques le Roux is one of these singers, currently engaged as the principal tenor at the Landestheater Linz in Austria. Since leaving South Africa in 2007, he has achieved numerous successes, including being named as the Young Artist of the Year for 2010 by the German Theatre and Orchestra.

The series now not only includes profiles of current staff and students, but is expanding to feature former staff and alumni as well. The first person to be profiled, Dr Martin Watt, is both! He studied at the Conservatory and then returned some years later as a lecturer (2004–2007).
