[1] Early Childhood Conference ~ 10-13 October 2016 Dr Mignon van Vreden presented a paper at an international conference titled “Teaching and learning mathematics, sciences, design and technology in the Early Years (0-10 years)” hosted by the Early Childhood Subject Group of the Faculty of Education Sciences of the NWU. The performance consists of excerpts from the Gospels of St Matthew and St Luke, as well as Afrikaans poems by WEG Louw, Jakobus van der Riet, Isak de Villiers, Hans du Plessis, Rosa Smit and Sheila Cussons. The local pianist and lecturer in piano at the NWU School of Music, Truida van der Walt, invited a dozen of her musical friends to perform with her in a concert of lighter fare with a touch of jazz. The concert will be presented in the Conservatory Hall on Tuesday 15 September 2015 at 19:30. The programme includes delightful music for easy listening by the tango master, Astor Piazzolla, selections.
