Early Childhood Conference ~ 10-13 October 2016 Dr Mignon van Vreden presented a paper at an international conference titled “Teaching and learning mathematics, sciences, design and technology in the Early Years (0-10 years)” hosted by the Early Childhood Subject Group of the Faculty of Education Sciences of the NWU. The School of Music is very excited to welcome two new staff members this year. Dr Albi Odendaal has been appointed from 1 January 2016 as researcher and lecturer in Music Education. He hails from the Cape where he completed his BMus and MMus studies at the University of Cape Town. After teaching for five years at Hilton College, he earned his DMus in Music Education at the Sibelius Academy.
