The School of Music at North-West University will be presenting a second limelight concert at the Brooklyn Theatre in Pretoria on Saturday 12 April 2014 at 11:00. While the first concert in March featured music for singers, flute, bassoon and violin, this concert will focus on the newly-established brass section at the School of Music with performances that include trumpets, trombone and brass ensemble. A vocal trio from Mozart’s opera, Idomeneo, will also be included in the programme, as well as a piano solo.

After the concert, staff of the School of Music will be available until 12:30 to speak with prospective music students and their teachers about music study at North-West University. They will explain the different programmes on offer, including the Diploma in Music for students without any formal musical training, the BA Music & Society for students with some music training, and the BMus for advanced students. The School of Music offers instruction in voice, piano & organ, woodwinds, brass, and violin & cello. Information will also be available to those considering post-graduate music studies.
