Ms Truida Oliver, senior lecturer in piano, recently completed the final requirements for her doctoral studies at the University of Pretoria and she will consequently receive the DMus degree in April.

Her three performance recitals consisted of sonatas for cello and piano with Human Coetzee (cello), an art song recital with Erica Eloff (soprano), and a concert of three piano trios with Zanta Hofmeyr (violin) and Maciej Lacny (cello). She also completed a mini-thesis on the inseparability of piano technique and interpretation in the chamber music of Brahms.

Congratulations, Dr Oliver!
