Final preparation for music exams & String Teaching Symposium — 7 & 8 August 2015
August and September are usually the months when hundreds of music learners across the country have to complete practical music exams, whether for music examining bodies such as Unisa, Royal Schools or Trinity College, or for the final Matric exam. In order to assist learners and their teachers with the final preparations for these exams, the practical music lecturers of the NWU School of Music will be available at the Conservatory in Potchefstroom on the weekend of 7 & 8 August 2015 for special lessons in a certain number of instruments. Most lecturers are also experienced examiners for these bodies.
Lessons will be offered on the Friday afternoon and Saturday morning in singing, piano, organ and all brass instruments on Grade 5 level and higher. The cost is only R100 per one-hour lesson and it is possible to book more than one lesson or even for more than one instrument.
String Teaching Symposium
A special symposium on string teaching will be presented during the Saturday morning and afternoon with sessions on practice methods and basic string technique, as well as demonstration lessons.
