Charl du Plessis’ Ten Chairs Tour — 4 March 2014
The popular South African pianist, Charl du Plessis, will be touring the country from February to October to visit ten concert halls with the top local Steinway concert pianos. As Steinway artist he will combine a solo concert tour with an awareness campaign to highlight the value of these instruments.
One of his favourite Steinway concert grands is the Model D in the Conservatory Hall of the NWU School of Music in Potchefstroom. He will present a recital on this piano quite early in his tour, on Tuesday 4 March 2014 at 19:30. His choice of repertoire will reflect the versatility of the instrument, from Bach/Busoni, Chopin and Rachmaninoff to music of a more contemporary nature.
