The string lecturers at the NWU School of Music, Prof Piet Koornhof (violin) and Dr Human Coetzee (cello), will be hosting a free symposium for teachers of string instruments on Wednesday 27 April 2016, 09:00-16:00 at the Conservatory in Potchefstroom.
The purpose of the symposium is for string teachers to get together and exchange experiences and ideas that could enrich their teaching of violin, viola, cello and double bass. Several teachers from Gauteng and elsewhere will give presentations about their work, and Prof Koornhof will speak specifically about the Inner Game approach to learning.
Although it is a free symposium, interested parties have to register their attendance online at http://goo.gl/forms/kVyRc96DkM by Friday 22 April 2016. Refreshments and a light lunch will be served during the symposium.
