International pianist and chamber musician, Miki Aoki, will be visiting the NWU School of Music in April for a solo piano recital on Tuesday 12 April 2016 at 19:30 in the Conservatory Hall. She combines her teaching position at the Graz University for Music and the Performing Arts in Austria with an international performing career as soloist and collaborative artist. With candidates and adjudicators from twenty-two different countries (including Romania, Taiwan, Russia, the USA and the Netherlands), and Prof Karendra Devroop as Artistic Director of the competition, the combined expertise.

Agnus Dei: Words and Music for Easter — 15 March 2016

A concert programme expressing the spirituality of Easter will be presented on Tuesday 15 March 2016 at 19:30 in the Dutch Reformed Church Miederpark. The performance consists of excerpts from the Gospels of St Matthew and St Luke, as well as Afrikaans poems by WEG Louw, Jakobus van der Riet, Isak de Villiers, Hans du Plessis, Rosa Smit and Sheila Cussons.
